Exposição de FotografiaJoão Mota da Costa (born 1954) is a plastic surgeon, specializing in hand surgery.
He began photographing in 1969, though with an irregular path due to professional reasons. Since 2011, he has devoted more time to photography, developing his own artistic projects and attending several courses at Atelier de Lisboa, in projects guided by contemporary Portuguese photographers, as well as completing a postgraduate degree in Discourses of Contemporary Photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (2015–2016).
