Ilias Georgiadis

Biography

Born in northern Greece, Ilias Georgiadis began his photographic practice at the age of 19. Following a period of travel in 2011, he interrupted his studies in Mathematics to devote himself entirely to photography. His work focuses on what he describes as the “poetic creation of images,” exploring social and existential questions related to the human condition. His work has been presented in international exhibitions and festivals across Europe, Asia, and Australia, and has also been published in various catalogues and specialized platforms. His photobooks are part of institutional collections, including the libraries of the J. Paul Getty Museum and Columbia University. Since 2023, he has served as Artistic Director of the publishing house Origini Edizioni.
